I had fun researching my the culture and evolution of hip hop. Although i do have an extensive amount of data on my subject; I'd like to do a lot more tube surfing on this subject but i have run out of time to do research. This is something i can really relate to very easily because the way i listen to hip-hop is as the way a coroner performs an autopsy on the dead. Ibelieve I could have done better on my paper but im not really a formal writer and i dont like to do so, but I'd have to admit i tried my hardest.
I really enjoyed doing research on a topic I like. It was actually interesting because I learned a lot of new things. Even on a topic I thought I knew so much about I found out some much information I never knew about. It was some what humbling. I like to learn about new things all the time. So digging around was fun to me. I learned you can never know too much on a topic. I took this topic to the heart because I am so adamitt about the topic. I'm glad I had the oppurtunity to due the research for the paper. Hopefully I could change so closed minded people to be a little more open minded.
I almost forgot to tell how much trouble it was in actually finding positive information on my topic. But wit some luck and a little patience I found some very useful information. This experience will surely make me a more patient person in the real world. Because the monents of fustration payed off in the long run.
I reallly learned a lot about how companies try expand their target markets to create more revenue. The research taught me that certain companies will abandon the people that helped establish their companies as powerhouses in order to chase a dollar. on such an interesting subject developers show how they will change their game design to cater to a certain audience or company supplying the hardware. I got an more in depth insight into the background of certain gaming companies. The gaming industry is very deceptive companies will make their audience feel like they can not live without them but will turn their back on them in a heartbeat. The main challenge with this research paper was getting to 10 pages worth of information and finding revelant video game topics. I will always know how to write a research paper just in case i would ever have to do it again. I also learned something i already knew all over again you can't trust big business.
I loved reading about the studies and other experiences of gamers. I have never felt the sting of this discrimination but have heard many horror stories from other women gamers. I think seeing an increase in the hardcore women gamers market will allow the industry to double its production numbers.
